The Dust Devil is a sprint triathlon with a 525 Yard Swim, a 14.5 Mile Bike, and a 5K (3.1 Mile) Run.
The Dust Devil Sprint Triathlon is a perfect event for newbies and veteran’s alike! Since 2008, this event has been a staple in the Northern Nevada multi-sport community. The bike course travels rural county roads with few turns. The swim occurs within theChurchill County Aquatics Center which houses a 25-yard pool (no wet suit required). The run course is entirely on paved roads through local neighborhoods. Lunch and swag will provided to participants pre-registered by event deadline.

The swim will be 21 lengths in a 25-yard pool at the Churchill County Aquatic Center. It will be completed in 5-feet deep water where the majority of participants will be able to touch bottom as desired.
The bike route travels rural roads with some stop signs. Participants are expected to follow all traffic regulations included stopping at any sign that does not have traffic controls provided by the race. All roads remain open throughout the event and participants should be mindful of vehicular traffic and ride accordingly.
The run crosses one major intersection and participants may be required to stop and wait for traffic. Volunteers and Search and Rescue will be on site to assist with traffic monitoring. Participants should be aware of traffic throughout the event and be safe.
