Churchill County Parks & Recreation hosts its annual Scarecrow Factory at the Green Goddess Farmers Market  on Sunday, October 6 from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. and at Lattin Farms on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a wonderful time for a family event to build scarecrows for the autumn season and to scare away ghostly ghouls. Scarecrow kits are $5 each and come with everything needed to make the best scarecrow possible. Donations of nylons and long-sleeved shirts are always accepted.
